Anyone have live crawfish around. The crawfish app isn’t showing much.

If I may piggy back here, what did you all pay for boiled crawfish in the past few weeks?

If I were able to truck in/supply the area twice a week of medium, then large (in a month or so), what would be a decent price to pay?

Live
$3.99/lb?

Boiled
$5.99/lb?

Why would anyone actually want crawfish this early?

Because some people like them and will pay whatever for them.

Friends Seafood in Westwego has live. They were a decent size a week or so ago. I think they were around $5/lb

Ah ok. I have a hookup on them, but it’s a good drive. It’s a family owned business. A friend of mine will be having them frequently when the prices get a little cheaper. The prices are high right now of course, so for it to benefit him, he would need to sell 10 or more sacks.

Thanks for checking The Crawfish App. The only prices showing right now are the folks who update their own prices. The call team will start calling all vendors on the App for prices this Thursday. Prices will be fresh on Friday morning.

Just curious. How often do you check prices for the app?

Thanks for using the App.

Hickory:
1. A little over half (about 800) of the vendors update their own prices through portals we have created for them. These vendors have a circled V next to their name and are expected to honor the prices they post. Please contact us if they dont, or write a review.

2. We call every other vendor (about 600) on every thursday during the crawfish season to make sure the price is updated for the weekend.

ETA: this season we have also added "Last Updated" to each price so users can tell when each price was updated.

Right now, live is selling for $4.99/lb at the very cheapest, in BR. Seems like last year prices started off much lower, closer to $2.75/lb.
