They added a few veal dishes I think. Maybe some other stuff. Lady Politiceaux got one of them. I got the prime ribeye as usual. Price went up to $34 or $35 from $28 so not the bargain that it used to be, but still very good.

Hmm.
I just love their Italian food and it's as inexpensive as most Italian places, so I'd hate for it to have gone up dramatically or something.

Just went for first time and our waiter, Jesus, really messed our order. I asked for dry aged ny strip and potato no sour cream my gf got the spaghetti light sauce. Funny thing is he even repeated my order and opened the menu and pointed to the dry aged strip, but somehow I got ribeye. I was so hungry and read cat and politiceaux talk up ribeye so I didn't say anything. He actually noticed his mistake about having sour cream on potato but it took way too long replacing it and getting another glass of wine. The steak was good, a tad too salty, not on par with ruth's chris but good. The house salad was good, bread was excellent but drenching in oil, which was too much for my taste. The gfs spaghetti was really good but unfortunately he obviously did not request for light sauce. (We actually thought the sauce was great but she likes likes spaghetti with lots of cheese and light sauce) Im not sure if I'll go back, probably not. Ill stick to my somewhat rotation of la lagniappe, masons, ruth's chris, Mansur's, and de guilio bros.

Sorry you had a bad experience tonight. Try it again sometime.. seriously. Little Village isn't talked about by everyone for nothing. it's a great restaurant. You had bad luck tonight

I don't blame you. If I had that experience, I'd be disappointed too. I am not sure if it was due to the new location or just an off night/bad waiter, but if you ever get the chance to try it again, do it! :D

I find it expensive and don't care for it too much. It's ok but not anything special and not cheap in my opinion. I don't mind paying but the food has to match the price.

Went last Friday night. B- overall
Seafood Medley was good
Lasagna, nowhere near Gino's
Parmesan overload on the bread and sensation salad
Lobster Bisque was average, rather cold.

Their Italian? It's like $12-$14 for the regular Italian dishes I order. Which is fairly average.
And I love their sauce.

Did he at least charge you for the Ribeye? I cant imagine the Dry Aged strip was the same price.
I have them cut the butter when I order the ribeye because that is where most of that salt is coming from.
I get the spagetti as a side sometimes. Normally the downtown service is fairly decent havent been to the new location though. Sucks that they moved the price up 6 dollars.. Thats a bit much. That steak for 28 was a great deal and a big reason I went there. At 34 its still good but thats pushing it a bit.

I was charged 34 for the ribeye, the dry aged strip was 45. I've never tried a dry aged strip I was looking forward to it. Is there a better place in BR to get one?

Not many places have it.
I really dont recall it being on the LV menu before either.. Stroube's, Flemminings and Ruths dont have it.
Before ordering it in a restaurant I would recommend buying one at Whole Foods and seeing if you like it. Some people dont like dry aged beef.

It is on the new menu for $45, and they no longer offer the wet aged. Only place in town that has it to my knowledge, I have gotten them before at some upscale steak houses and honestly liked the wet aged better, but I tried the dry aged at LV and really enjoyed it, was a bit salty and will take your advice on low butter next time.
