The place was just past the bridge on the bayou, on the left of us. Looked very "louisiana bayou". On some waterway with some houses/camps. Anyone know what I'm talking about.
I know exactly what you are talking about, but I can't remember the name.

+1. I didn't think it was actually in Basile though, closer to Evangeline
they have been running some radio ads here in the chuck lately and they say Basile, it must be one stop light north of Evangeline

While, granted, they're not doing anything mindblowing over there. I'd have a hard time coming up with a place that does what they do, better than what they do.
Personally, I love the place for what it is.

I like the thin catfish. Sorry you don't.
Judging by the amount of cars in front of the place....you are not alone....FYI...they told me they take frozen catfish and use a meat slicer to get that thin slice....me, I just want to taste the catfish.

Haven't been in a while, but Hymel's - in Convent is always good.
I like these as well:
Tunk's - outside of Alexandria.
Charlie's - in Springfield.
Not Your Mama's - in Morganza (Better than the one in Lavonia)
