It’s a winner. I’ve got a box now. Only a couple left if that tells you anything.

I like those a lot. CAO is a brand that never lets me down. Digging that ash tray too. I’ve begun buying old cast iron ones like that whenever I find them. They’re surprisingly harder to find than you would think.

Actually got this from my MIL about 32 years ago. It was part of an ash tray stand but the elements did the stand in about 12 years ago.

If you haven’t yet tried any of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trusts offerings do yourself a favor and pick some up when you see them. I’ve only been smoking a few years but got turned onto Steve Saka’a sticks early on. I’ve yet to find one I truly dislike. Most of them are very enjoyable. His Sobremesa Brûlées are great with a coffee. The Triqui Tracas are excellent with a bourbon. Umbagogs are enjoyable throughout the day. His Sin Compromisos are always a lucky find. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of his ligas.

Had a Perdomo Vintage with some 4 Roses tonight. I also bought a cheap V cutter and tried it for the 1st time based on this threads recommendation. I usually do a punch, but the draw was much better with the V cutter. I might have to change it up. Hopefully the tigers play better so I can smoke a victory cigar tomorrow night.

I just found this thread and I'll come back with a more thorough post of favorite cigars and/or drink pairings for the benefit of whoever reads and cares.

But I had to share, to celebrate Arkansas taking Texas to the woodshed, I'm having by far the best cigar I've ever had in my life.

20 year (properly) aged Montecristo No. 3. I love Monte 2s, expecially aged 2s (don't currently reside in the US), but holy shite this is something I've never experienced.

Paired with a standard Havana 7-year Dark and Stormy because I just want a basic coctail to not overpower any of these flavors.

I've had 8 year aged cigars and you can definitely tell the difference, especially with Cubans, but I never thought I'd taste something like this. Every single harsh tone you can remember with similar tobacco is transformed into the smoothest, chariot ride of caramel, nuts, a hint of chocolate, and all the essential road trip items to take you to flavor town.

The box was so old it didn't even have this country's tobacco warnings (its illegal to remove from the box if its a commerical establishment).

Best to you all and enjoy your Sundays. I'll probably toss a Macanudo in bleach and arsenic after this since this is the peak.

Welcome! Are you aging the cigars personally, or buying them commercially. It would be a tough task for me to have a cigar or box of cigars that long

There's a bar thats closing down here that the owner had the idea to have a full electric refrigerator/humidor. He kept a back shelf for him and his close friends, but over time they never were able to finish all the boxes.

Then with them shutting down and the owner doing various things and opening new bars, he allowed a few days ago to sell single sticks to the "regulars" (I've lived in this country 9 months but I know the shift manager well). Considering the Arkansas game and that I absolutely will not be allowed to go to the new bars he's opening as an American white guy, I figured I'd just take my shot here. Well worth it. I'm sure he will lie to the owner about who bought the sticks.

ETA: To clearly answer your question, no re: personally aging. I've not been smoking cigars near 20 years. Not just that I haven't been smoking for 20 years, but I haven't been smoking long enough to be comfortable enough putting a box of Monte 3s away for 2 decades.

As promised I will document my Coolidor Build from a no longer used wine cooler. I could not get the temp to rise above 52° so I have a temperature regulator on order to dial in 65° to 70° temps. After cleaning the inside and shelves with a vinegar and water solution I am at the stage of beginning this project. Here is the cleaned out wine cooler. The orange bowl is holding charcoal briquettes in order to rid the cooler of any unwanted odor.

The next pic is the factory installed Blue led light and awful illumination of the interior.
The next pic is led strip lights I had on hand to test out illuminating the interior better. The strip is not pliable enough to handle the corners so I will have to get a led strip light made to make 90° turns, but the test run lights up the interior enough for me.

The last pic shows the led strip lights stuck to the door.
I have an electronic wifi humidifier that I will install after a couple days of odor saturation and will pick up with the project at that point.
Appreciate any constructive feedback.

Looking nice. I have no tips, because I have no idea how to do what you're doing. I approve though!
