What’s everyone’s take on this place.

I like it but the quality varies drastically by location.

One in Old Metairie is right around the corner. It’s good for what it is.

This. The one left on Vets near Severn is good.

About 6 months ago I had one at the Airline hwy location across from Sams Club and it was so bad I threw it out.

yeah agree, the one on Vets by Lakeside is definitely better than the one on Airline/Cleary

Are there are any must have at this joint.

Lee burger with extra onions

It has been many years since I went. Good greasy burger perfect after a hangover. Burger with cheddar cheese, Order of onion rings and a root beer was my standard order. I just do not see anyone post on TD about them.

Too many onions. Not as good as Buds. Wouldn’t recommend

The one that used to be on Vets by Oaklawn was the GOAT.
Like others said, the one by Severn is better, and more consistent than Airline. Haven’t been to the Metry Rd one in awhile, just remember their burgers were really big, really too big.

It was better in the late 80’s.

The one on Sherwood in BR didn't last long. I had it twice and it was pretty meh.

That’s probably got more to do with the fact that it was in Baton Rouge than it being a Lee’s.

When we are growing up in NO, the Lee's on Tulane Ave was by far the best in NO. You can have all the Bud's you want, I'll take Lee's. I was sorry to see the one on Sherwood fail, but that location was terrible, it was doomed from the start, no matter what product they served.
On Saturdays' my father would go to Lee's and get a huge bag of burgers, I think he had a tie with the owner over some land deal, not sure he paid full price. But all my friends would be sure to drop by the house on Saturday for a burger, not to mention a federal judge and even Pete Fountain occasionally.
So I have fond memories of Lee's hamburgers.
