And it is absolutely bananas. Every parking spot is full at 9:00.

You're 2 hours late .... Every parking spot was full at 7:15am when I drove by for work. Police directing traffic IN/OUT and the line of people in front of building was probably 100 people deep. INSANITY

I'll pop in some time in spring 2027 when the crowds have died down.

We have a Trader Joe’s in Metairie and I might go two or three times a year

Never understood the obsession with this place

Exactly what I’m trying to understand.

What does Trader Joe’s offer that the other 6 grocery stores in the area don’t?

Trader Joe's has some awesome frozen and refrigerated entrees/apps/meats , cheeses, etc - stuff you can't find other places

I used to go 2-3x per week in BR on my way home from work but since moving to NO never go - the Metairie one is too far away and a zoo

The prepackaged marinated meats like Tandoori or Shawarma chicken are excellent.

The wines are also a very good value.

I don't have much other use for them.

It’s only offered seasonally, but TJ carries a Szechuan BBQ sauce that is terrific on grilled chicken. When they have it in stock i usually buy several bottles.

Great place for fresh cut flowers and artisan cheeses.

I saw on the news 1 person got there at 5am just to be the first person in line.

Craziness.

This BBQ sauce from Trader Joe's is really good as well.

I stand corrected ... that's the sauce. Sirracha , not Schezuan

I told my wife this and she said she didn't know what you were talking about. She said there was PTP everywhere.

She also said the lines where long because people didn't realize the checkout kiosks were double sided.

I wondered that too for a long time then we visited the one on Freret st and my mind is changed. Quality items at good prices. It’s just two of us at home so we don’t need anything in bulk…I could easily shop there regularly no problem
