Will be heading back home to Lafayette and looking to eat some crawfish. Haven’t been back in years so I don’t know the scene. Any good places for crawfish?

Do not go to Dwights unless you want bland crawfish with the seasoning sprinkled on after boiling.

Find somewhere else or boil your own.

That's gonna be most restaurants. Speed wins.

I've been there multiple times. Go there and take a picture of the crawfish, I bet that crap is sprinkled on top.

Not Lafayette, but Crawfish Town in Henderson is my favorite.

Go to Yelp, there is only one picture out of like ten without it sprinkled on top. One of them is freaking covered with seasoning.

Pretty much my experience, I wouldn't touch crawfish at a restaurant west of the Mississippi.

Good more for us. To OP, It's still pretty early but Hawkes or C'est Bon are my favorites within driving distance of Lafayette.

I can't imagine there is anywhere in the world where you can get better crawfish than Hawks...but they probably won't open until sometime in February I guess....maybe later.

Mo Crawfish in Mowata is pretty good too.

Beem there once and I was really disappointed. Now I know the crawfish I got were fricked up and that CT is excellent. I really need to go back and try them.

It seemed to me someone dumped about 2 liters of concentrated lemon juice in the pot the one time I went so I wont say their crawfish sucks. My order did. I hear nothing but praise for that place and I just had a bad experience.

Crawfish Time
LT’s

Everywhere else is meh. Better doing your own.

Fwiw, I’ve had sprinkled shells at Dwight’s before.

Is there any place at all in Lafayette that cooks them properly with heavily seasoned boil and no crap sprinkled on top? I started looking last year at this time and haven't found any place yet. Funny thing is, almost everyone that I speak to in Lafayette says they can't stand that crap sprinkled on top and that they prefer a heavily seasoned boil...
