Me and my fiance are going to Lafayette this evening to get my suits for our wedding lined up. We may as well make it a date while we are at it. Throw me some good eats in the Lafayette area. We're good with any different cuisine.

If there is already a thread for this im sorry.

What if you are on the road and looking for something quick just off the interstate?

Billy's off of the Scott exit, if you're just looking for something to pick up. Otherwise, maybe Fezzo's, also off the Scott exit. Not much right off of the Lafayette exits.

ETA: If you're willing to drive a couple miles, downtown Lafayette is only ~2 miles from the interstate. That opens up quite a few more options. For fast casual Hideaway on Lee has really good burgers, and Pop's Poboys has really good poboys.

I was going to post this. I have also heard good things about Uncle T's.

Depends which direction your coming from or heading out to. If West of Lafayette, Uncle T's and Fezzo's if wanting to still sit and enjoy. To eat while driving, Billy's or Kartchner's.

East of Lafayette, Buck & Johnny's or Cafe Sydnie in Breaux Bridge, or Pat's in Henderson.

Yeah I meant to sit and have a beer and a po boy or something similar but still be back on the road in a decent amount of time. I keep forgetting about Pops and I see the billboard for Uncle Ts. Where are they if coming from Houston?

Take the Scott Exit (97), and go South. Past the roundabout (stay on St. Mary), you'll pass Nunu's to your left, and Uncle T's will be on the right just before the railroad tracks.

Oysters are good, but I really love that fried shrimp, oyster and crawfish poboy, and you can get sauteed crab meat added on top.

If OP goes there tonight, he might get the chance to meet me. I love that place.

One of my favorites in town, just a heads up, try calling to make reservations. They're still running their Christmas pop up deal so they've been pretty packed. Or if not just hang out and eat at the bar.

Tula Tacos and Central Pizza are good options downtown too, I've heard good things about Hideaway on Lee, we're going try that one out tomorrow. Go grab a beer at the Wurst, they've been having bands play on Friday and Saturday nights lately.

Very sadly, I am reporting that this place has gone down hill since the reopening. They changed the margarita recipe and the menu.

I’m saying all of this as their former biggest fan. I don’t plan to return.

I’ve always wanted to try tapas. Are there any other places for that in south Louisiana?

We go about once or twice a month.
Oysters are fantastic. The whole menu is delicious as a matter of fact.

The scenery isn't bad either
