Saw it from Ian McNulty on Twitter, shutting the doors in a couple of weeks. One in Harahan will continue on. I really wanted to support that place, but the food was inconsistent, and the restaurant seemed dirty and always smelled a little weird. Anyone know what might be taking its' place?

Yeah, that kind of place didn't seem like a great fit to me.
I used to eat at the one in Harahan from time to time because I didn't work too far away, but it was not all that great.

With that building in that area I’d imagine they would knock it down and build new.

That’s a primo location. Whoever owns the property can do better than a poboy joint.

The food is pretty average so I’m not surprised.

Do they have any Koz’s left?

The one on West Napoleon in Metairie closed last year.

Been there a handful of times. Food sucked. One of the worst poboys around. I used to love the Bakery on Franklin Ave though.

It was not my favorite but outside of the roast beef I thought it was pretty decent. Used to go there often enough, especially if I did not feel like going to Parkway. I hope another causal poboy shop goes in there.

Could definitely use a consistent one in the area that isn't overcrowded and not as high as giraffe nuts.

I once got a plate lunch from there that was awful.

Same here. My in-laws lived near there and we would pick up a couple of loafs. One had to be a ham and cheese because it was my mother in laws favorite. When I walked in Koz would say what do you want with the ham and cheese before I opened my mouth. I think the owner's name was Jerry. He was always fun to talk to.
