Don't post here much but I've getting ahead start for new year resolutions. The only chains I will go to are Five Guys, Chick fil a, Backyard Burger and Jimmy John's. I'm done with everything else. Anyone have similar ideas?

As it currently stands, the only chains that I choose to go to are Five Guys, Shake Shack (rarely because I don't live by one), Chick-fil-a, Popeyes, Canes, and Starbucks.

I'm not a big enough food snob to make someone who is driving on a trip or something choose somewhere non-chain if that's what they want, but if it's my choice those are pretty much the only ones that I'll choose.

I'm generally anti-chain, but I'll admit to patronage of Popeyes, Starbucks if no local options exist, Shake Shack, Atomic Burger, and Five Guys. Of that list, I probably end up at Starbucks once every 2 months, and the others only a couple times a year.

No thanks on Jimmy Johns, Chick Fila.....

If your list doesn't have Taco Bell, then meet me at Sonic.

Five Guys

Never got this place ? They offer all kind of stuff to throw on burger to cover up the fact it's no better than Sonic.

Backyard Burger

Good luck finding one around any longer, was OK but overpriced.

Jimmy John's.

This shite here; tiny cold cuts on cold bread, WTF ?

You've lost all credibility here if you think Sonic is better than Five Guys. Sorry but that's dumb.

Like 2 bucks more? Seriously? BYB makes a good burger.

If you don't like cold cuts then don't go to Jimmy Johns. Go to Subway.

None of those places are within 25 miles of my house so I guess I’m out of luck or ahead of the curve, I guess it depends on personal opinion.

I could walk to 3 of those chains from my house. In my life, I have been to 5 Guys once, chick fil a about 3 times, and never to the other two.

I do enjoy the Newks chain, but I haven’t been to one in over six months.

Get the Yelp app and wherever you feel like eating lunch you will more than likely find a local spot that is in the same price range that will give you 10x the customer service and 10x the quality of food.

I agree, only thing that could put them ahead is fresh fries but most of the time they soggy.
