The only chains I will go to are Five Guys, Chick fil a, Backyard Burger and Jimmy John's.

Chains have their place, you're in a hurry, need a drive through, or your out of town and don't have a better choice. I'm on keto, Waffle house is great for me, eggs and sausage is a good meal anytime.

The biggest problem with your choices is your health, very few things there not loaded with carbs and fat.

Slightly off topic, but I think the Outback in BR is the absolute worst in the country. Obviously it’s a chain, but as far as chains go it’s consistently decent. Not great, but not terrible like a Chili’s or Applebee’s. I went to the one here a couple of years ago and it was awful.

Why not cut off all chains/fast food as a resolution. Sounds like cutting out the places you don't go isn't making any changes.

I honestly hate 5 guys. Most overrated burger around and that would even be if they were realistically priced. All our backyard burgers are shut down. Jimmy John's is ok for an overpriced sub but Publix deli makes a better one here.

Chick fil a is god's chicken so I have no problem with that. However as someone not in Canes territory, I can't help but notice their exclusion. Why?

PS I plan on patronizing most fast food chains with a certain avoidance towards McDonalds and Krystal.

I dont eat big chain food much. If i do its usually popeyes or wendy's, with smattering of taco bell.

JJ can suck a dick, ower hunts big cats for fun. Im not anti hunting but hunting big cats is stupid. Pure ego stroke and nothing else.

Definitely an ego thing BUT those safari hunts are the biggest tourist/influx of money for the villages. Many times it's also a source of meat for the village for a week, depending on the animal (yes in Africa they eat cats BTW).

I personally have no issue if someone with too much money on their hands decides to give a chunk to some poor African village so that he can kill one of the animals around it, in which the villagers protect and preserve the animals so that people like JJ can do that.

The issue with this logic is that you’re referencing the Founder not the owner. The owner of JJ’s in Baton Rouge is good people. A local baw, LSU grad giving his life and savings to run a local sub shop. Getting on a high horse about decade old pics from a big game hunt and boycotting JJs doesn’t hurt the billionaire founder one bit.

You are keeping Five Guys? I can't eat there because it inherently feels like a heart attack. Plus, I love fries and theirs are terrible. Replace with something else if you care about your obesity.

Taco Bell is currently under boycott for discontinuing the fiery taco shells.

Five Guys only offers American cheese on their burgers. That "cheese" literally makes me gag. If they offered a nice sharp cheddar, I'd be willing to eat there.

I'll stop at Popeye's, Starbucks, Wendy's or Arby's if they have some special item, Zaxby's, JJ's, and CFA.

The best fast food restaurant in the United States is Portillo's. I'm actually happy there's not one down my way or I'd be a fat frick.
