What is a similar coffee maker, looking to spend around $150 or so at the most, any comparable machines? Not opposed to getting another keurig, this one was 7 years old.

We had Keurig for years but use this now

Look at the Bunn MyCafe line of makers. They may have changed over the years, but our last one came with attachments to use K-Cups or pods. I use the pods because they make better coffee. You can get Community pods, and the coffee grounds are basically encased in a filter.

You can call up their customer service and they'll send you a new one for around $50. That's what I did a few years back when mine died.

Thx, I am seriously considering this.

milk frother works well and pops off to clean and get's tucked on the side of the unit. Check out utube reviews.

I use a Ninja as well, and really like it. Single cup, but with options to make a tumbler size without sacrificing coffee strength.

What kind of filter does it have? I had a system a long time ago that used a metal screen type of reusable filter and it was a bitch to keep clean.

It's one of those. We use vinegar to clean it. But we also use brown paper filters. With coffee machines, they all need cleaning, even the Keurig.

I have the same unit. It's an awesome piece. Ninja for lyfe.

Most of these things are incredibly easy to clean. You just run it as usual with vinegar or a cleaning solution mixed with water

Got the nespresso mini for Christmas and became immediately hooked. Life changing

I had a similar experience. I knew it was dead but played along and ran the paperclip in the holes, etc., after which the customer service person offered to sell me a new one at a helluva discount.
Mine was more than $50. I think I got a unit that retailed for about $150 for around $90. This was several years ago.
They sent me an envelope to return a critical piece of the old machine to them, which keeps people from scamming them.
