Kartchner's

The owner, or at least the founder drives through my area often. When he stops to eat, he stops at local, family run places. He's always been nice and usually leaves them with some of their products.

I'm a fan.

I make road trips from 70808 to Krotz Springs to stock up on boudin, stuffed chickens, etc. It is only a 2 beer drive.

Nice!
Drive I-10 by Scott more often than 190 Krotz Springs. Love their boudin and deer boudin.

Most people thought they were crazy to open a place right across from Billy's. The Kartchner's folks certainly have proved them wronheg. Their jalapeño-cream cheese boudin balls are phenomenal.

They’ve always been so nice to deal with. I call in orders sometimes to pick up or have someone pick up for me. I give them a time for pick up and they have it ready right on time.

Don't pass on the sauce piquante or the rabbit sausage.

I wish that instead of joining a crowded market in Scott they'd come to BR and instantly be the best place in town.

IMO, Ronnie’s changed significantly when the Kartchner family member sold out to current owners. Used to be same recipe.

I haven't been to Ronnie's in a coon's age. I need to make a return visit soon and see if it's still any good.
