I have never been to Joe's Crab Shack and never seen it discussed here so I am assuming it it no bueno. However, I live pretty close to the one on Siegen and I'm wondering if there is anything decent to get there? Got some small kids so most restaurants are off of our family destination list for now. Was wondering if it may be a decent place to bring kids and hopefully not die from food poisoning.

It’s okay. Fun for the kids, but it’s nothing special when it comes to the food. The only thing I ate there was the steampot. It’s all pretty basic seafood.

That is anyone that likes lobster anyway

So if you want lobster might as well go to Joes or Red lobster

I think the only reason the one in N.O. stayed open as long as it did was the fact people could pull up on their boat and access the restaurant.

Other than that, pretty basic, chain restaurant food that I found left a lot to be desired.

I think you would find that there are list of good restaurants that you would have no issues bringing kids to

I've gone to one in Minneapolis. But given Louisiana's proximity to seafood, I'd go to Parrains and the like.

It's a fast food seafood dinner but so is red lobster
If you live in South louisiana you have no business being there it's frozen seafood

It’s one of those places that everytime I pass it I say “Who the F eats there?”
