Jay's Bar-B-Q Government - Closed?

I have called all week to put in my usual to go lunch and no answer. Just googled them and it says permanently closed say it ain't so!

Just came to ask the same thing. A regular in my Friday lunch rotation for the last 20+ years.

***Update: just drove by and sign on door says they just closed for this week, will reopen on the 13th.

I used to think I was nostalgic about BR restaurants, but there are some bad restaurants that have been open for a long time

It’s good for what it is, pork and beef sandwhiches you dip in bbq sauce with really good curly q fries. If you’re expecting actual bbq you’re in for a big disappointment
