Just call Shane at Krazy Kajun Cookware.
445-3636

He's got an entire machine shop set up now with everything from sheet rollers, to CNC, to welding, to plasma.

Bought one there for Christmas last year. He had a wait, couldn't crank them out fast enough. I would think he's still doing it?

Also, great product. I've been very happy with mine.

You realize his custom stand with pot on castors is nearly 50% more expensive than Randy's at R+R and IMO less quality?

I'm not going to get in a pissing contest with you over a damn jambalaya stand. I simply offered a solution with someone that will pick up the phone when you call them, and their custom made equipment will last a lifetime. Yes, I'm a lifetime customer and huge fan of Shane's, because I've got 10 rigs that we use every single week.

Call him or don't. I'm not losing any sleep.

He's still in business, but he works shift work at a plant. Just does the jambalaya gig on the side. I bought from him earlier this year. Quality product, but he's hard to get in touch with and he takes forever. Keep trying him and you'll get him eventually. His mailbox is always full.

I looked up Krazy Kajun at Karzy Kajun and read this ...

quote:

Jambalaya pots may be used for commercial use as well as home use. Use extra care when choosing a cast iron jambalaya pot. Make sure your jambalaya pot is large enough to suit your needs, yet make sure you don't get it too big! Our best sellers are the 3 gallon jambalaya pot, 5 gallon jambalaya pot and 10 gallon jambalaya pot. There are several uses for a jambalaya pot other than cooking your favorite Louisiana jambalaya recipe. Many Cajuns use these pots to cook for larger groups, just like you would cooking in a cast iron Dutch oven. Jambalaya pots are great for soups, gumbos, etoufee, popcorn and more. Other groups in the northern states know these jambalaya pots as sugar pots, caldrons, iron kettles and kettle corn pots.

Then i googled R&R Welding, and the first hit is R&R Welding, which is the same link he posted himself on a thread back in 2008 ... Thread in 2008 ... where i read this ...

quote:

R & R Welding has been building jambalaya pot stands and selling cast iron jambalaya pots for many years .
Cast iron jambalaya pots may be used for commercial use as well as home use. Make sure your cast iron jambalaya pot is large enough for your cooking needs. You can always cook smaller in a larger pot , but you can't cook bigger in a smaller pot.
Our best sellers are the 5 gallon cast iron jambalaya pot , 10 gallon cast iron jambalaya pot and 20 gallon cast iron jambalaya pot. All the pots are cured. You can use the cast iron jambalaya pots for several things. It can be used for frying, gumbos, etouffee, kettle corn and many other louisiana dishes.

So which one stole content from the other?

I love the setup I got from him, but the wait was really frustrating. If I needed another I'd buy from him again, but as an internet friend I'm warning you it'll never be ready by then. He told me 5 weeks and it was almost 3 months . So unless he's gotten better don't bank on 3 weeks and my best advice is stay on top of him. I called once a week because I was on a timeline to get it in and seasoned before a comp I was cooking in. Congrats on the new rig and good luck getting it in on time

They are factory seasoned which is not that great and the casting is really rough. I ground the one I got from him smooth with a side grinder and it's great now..well worth the few hours it took and the roll-around rig is top notch.
