This Sauza mix is crap. The same can be said for Mrs. T's and Cuervo. I thought there was supposed to be at least a semblance of lime flavoring in them.

Juice of 1 lime
2 shots of tequila
half a shot of cointreau
half a teaspoon of sugar.

shake up good and serve over ice

This is way way better than any mix.

I know, but how about store bought for, say when you're out on a beach and can't squeeze a lime.

2/9 part 100% aguave, Reposado or Añejo (Sauza Hornitos Reposado, or Jose Cuervo Tequila Tradicional are good priced tequila) 1/9 part Grand Marnier, 2/3 part Cuervo mix. Keep the mix cold prior to mixing if you can...

If you're blending frozen, I think limeade concentrate works best. Add a little OJ too.

Stop it with these fricking posts.

Would you ever ask for a goddamn Martini mix? Or an Old Fashioned mix? No, you wouldn't. You know why? Because itd be goddamn disgusting.

And guess what. WHAT A COINCIDENCE. Margarita mixes are goddamn disgusting.

Just make a fricking margarita. A margarita is a cocktail and a simple one at that:

1/2 tequila
1/4 lime juice (preferably freshly (within the past few days) squeezed)
1/4 orange liqeur (preferably cointreau or grand marnier...patronge is alright and triple sec is fine in a pinch)

Stop being a sorority sister and just make your fricking drink. You can make a huge batch of it days beforehand. Just shake/stir before you pour and serve it cold/on the rocks.

Goddamn

Thanks for being useless. I already know that shite, and made many on my own. That's not the question. A simple "no" would be fine. Of course you have to go on some melodramatic whiny rant about mixes. I'm very happy that you're a purist...does that satisfy your narcissistic needs? Who is the sorority sister?

The Kirkland margarita mix at Costco is awesome. Do you have a Costco in your area?

Buy Cuervo pre-made margarita (not a mix), but use it as a mix:

50% Pre made margarita, 50% good tequila. Better if you add a splash of Contreau on top.

That's the best you'll do for a mix.

Have you tried the Cuervo Gold? It has the tequila in it. Just pour and drink. Perfect for the beach.

Yes I have. Thanks. It's okay but I like to add a different brand of tequila.

If you are on the beach try batching some cocktails and then just keep in a thermos in a cooler. Pour in tequila, pour in self-made mix. Easy does it.
