IDK, it was pretty shitty when I was at school in the 90s.

Im surprised it survived the murder/suicide in 2011. That kind of bad vibes seems like it would linger

The bbq platter used to be awesome when I was in college. My good friends dad was a law professor who would come up once a week to teach class and treat us to dinner there. The platter back then was like $18 and you got brisket, wings, beef and pork ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and two sides. shite was amazing. The only thing I’ve had there in the last 5 years that was decent was wings

You hate to see it, but places have to adapt if they want to survive.

I went there once ten years ago, was surprised the bar tender waiter only recommended the wings. I looked around and no one was eating ribs. The wings were huge , fairly well cooked but not that good. Never went back.

Probably so. They don’t seem to be appealing to the next generation.

Their menu is still good. It reminds me a lot of WalkOns. I can always find something that’s good enough to get the job done, but there’s nothing on the menu that makes me desire to go out of my way to dine there.

I don’t think highlighting bbq items as your identity is the best move for them anymore. Prop up the other items and don’t make the bbq (except the ribs) the main feature on your menu. For example, the dead center of their menu is “legendary brisket”. I’ve never heard anyone even mention their brisket before.

They can easily turn it around if they wanted. They’ve updated the inside a few times it seems, but it still feels like they don’t have the interior set up well. Give it a little facelift to appeal to the next generation, get your name out there a little more, and it can keep running well for years to come. They can easily keep the same menu and change their identity as being a bbq place.

It wasn’t even that long ago that people on here were saying that they have the best wings in town.

Is this no longer true?

It’s crowded every time I drive by. Must be doing something right. Location doesn’t hurt. At one point the Outback and Chili’s had the highest revenue in the country.
