Yes

No. They are good but there are better king cakes out there. A friend of mine had their car towed this week because they parked at the law firm across the street.

Just go to Caluda's and get a better one.

The line came around the building, into the parking lot, then across the parking lot, then circled back halfway across the parking lot again. There was at least 200 people.

Drive to Nonna’s on the Northshore. Walk right in and pick any king cake you want.

No king cake is worth that kind of wait. One of the most overrated foods in existence.

but why not crank out more?
So you think they can just flip a switch and produce double the cakes or something?

Randazzo’s makes the best king cake, but I wouldn’t wait 30 minutes in a line for anything ever.

Go to Martin Wine Cellar. They get like 30 a day.

Nonna’s seems to have dropped in quality over the years, and they seem smaller than the other Randazzo’s versions, but definitely better than waiting in line.
Jay’s Bakery is a copy cat of Randazzo’s and very good. You can get them from different businesses in the metro area.

I bought a king cake from take away donuts in luling the other day to drop by a client's office down da bayou. They requested it. Had a piece while in the office and it was pretty good for donut shop

nah. it's good, but not that good. It's typical nola "everything is better here" hype that doesn't deliver.

Come on man you aren’t this dense.
They’ve been in that same shop for years. I think they could buy a larger place. Hire more people. Produce more king cakes. It’s not a hard process to think through and not hard to create more. And I do think they would sell more and generate more money.
You act like making a king cake is an act of god. Use your mind every once in a while. You’ll be surprised.
