No. Not at all. At least not the ones in Texas.

In N Out is my favorite, but I don't care for the fries much. Freddy's sucks.

I like Five Guys better, but In-N-Out is super cheap. Their fries are weird though. Reminds me of that dehydrated astronaut food somehow.

In n out is much better than fatburger or 5 guys.

The in n out fries are ok, not nearly as good as McDonald's. They are quite excellent when upgraded to animal fries however.

although you are correct that the in n out fries are very bland, ironically, the reason why is the complete opposite of dehydrated astronaut food. the in n out fries are nothing more than a fresh diced potato bathed in vegetable oil, right there as you order your burger. they aren't frozen and shipped to each location by a distributor.

this is in stark contrast to the much tastier mcdonalds French fries, which are prepped with flavor enhancers, fried and then frozen at a distribution center. each location then fries them again.

kudos to in n out for wanting to provide a fresh, and somewhat healthier French fry... but unfortunately at a sacrifice in taste.

In-n-out is terrible... it infuriates me that people go nuts over that place.

I didn't realize Whataburger was so highly thought of on here. Haven't been there in years, but I remember it being just ok. Should I go back?

It's solid, but it's not great.

People romanticize Whataburger because they're decent and the stores are usually better than average fast food.

I think Wendy's would actually be a pretty strong competitor with Whataburger if they had the latter's customer service.

I wanted to like Five Guys too, but multiple chances in multiple cities tells me it isn't much. It's the plainest tasting meat and the tomato overpowers it. Just stomach filler, basically.

Five Guys doesn't have the flavor of Mooyah, BUT if you order the grilled cheese at Five Guys and have them add 2 patties, it's much much better than their standard burger.

For the price INO is hard to beat.

Prefer Whataburger but like other things it's what you grew up with. People couldn't wait for Blue Bell to come back even after multiple Lysteria issues and superior products available.

It's a darn good burger, if only they could get the fries not to suck.

In N Out, Whataburger, and Tommy's in L.A. are the 3 best fast food burgers imho
