Slice it up and throw it in 10minutes after turning off the heat. I've done it before, but I don't go out of my way to make sure pineapple is in the boil.

My favorite "out-of-the-norm" ingredients for a boil are fresh green beans, Brussel sprouts, and sweet peppers.

We did a cauliflower the other day. It soaks up a ton of spice and only takes a few minutes before after cutting off the fire.

That spice is supposed to be in the crawfish.

Slice it up, put it in the fridge, eat it for dessert.
Stop overthinking and throwing everything you see in your kitchen in the crawfish. Its gotten ridiculous.

I cut the top and bottom off and leave the skin on. Put it in to soak and peel it when you pull the crawfish out.

My mother has begged me for YEARS to do this. Finally, last year at one of my boils, on the last one of the day, I did it.

I basically cut the top and all the skin off, then cut it into about 8-10 hunks. When I cut the fire off, I threw them in (same time as the corn).

My mother loved it. I tasted a piece, it was ok. Not bad but also not something I would normally eat.

I think it is putrid.

If all the dumb shite that is thrown in boils, Pineapple is the worst

Crawfish
Corn
Potatoes
Onions
Mushrooms if you gotta have something
Lemon

Things that are understandable:

Asparagus steamed on top
Cauliflower.

Your normal list plus garlic, sausage and artichoke is my jam.

I've been skipping potatoes lately, though (not in the boil, just what I personally eat). Once you get past the spicy skin, it's just too much plain potato for me. If it came to be that we had to 86 a side for room, that would be it. Hell, I'd 86 them and add more mushrooms if it wasn't such a standard for most people.

I almost never eat the potatoes unless they've actually picked up some seasoning inside. Otherwise, I agree there's just too much plain potato for my taste. They need to be punctured a bit to pick up the flavor inside the potato meat, which is what I do when I boil them inside. I like to boil them for a little while in some crab boil and then slice them thick for roasting in the oven. Those are darn good.
