It's too sweet. Like eating a donut with meat.
Brioche doesn't need to have sugar added. It can just have a slightly sweet taste from solely the butter and milk.

call me a cracka but I prefer just a regular white bread bun. the flavor of the burger patty should be the centerpiece

Brioche from Publix Deli for burgers.
Lewis hot dog buns, if you can find them. They have several varieties, but I have only tried the plain white buns.
