I must say I was surprised how good it was. It’s been years since I ate there. The quarter pounder, fries, sweet tea was good. I do recommend once a month or so for lunch.

I had it for the first time in years on a road trip over Thanksgiving. I haven't eaten inside a McDonald's store in over 40 years. I was pleasantly surprised. They had kiosk ordering, an employee brought it to your table and the food was hot, fresh and quite tasty.

Now, this was in the panhandle and the employee demo was MUCH different than what is found in the Nola area and I suspect that a little something to do with it.

Double quarter pounder, no ketchup add special sauce is great to me. Wish the fries were still cooked in beef fat. Don’t care for them anymore.

There is one by my house that I never go to. We have a ton of Whataburger locations here so if I want fast food I'll go there instead.

A double quarter pounder with no ketchup is one of my road trip guilty pleasures.

I was expecting you to say, "the ice cream machine was actually working."

They have made several improvements recently including using better buns and some changes to cooking/prep.

You should try the Bacon King at Burger King.

The snotwad they spit in your QP and the stinkfinger Antwan has from fingerbanging Shaniqua in the restroom, really added something.

Glad you enjoyed lunch.

You want to see how the American proletariat lives? Eat inside a McDonald's in South Louisiana.

At 1,000 calories, 41 grams of fat, 116 carbs, and 40 grams of sugar I sure hope it was good.

Heard on the radio this morning that McDonalds is starting a new franchise called Cosmics or something...

It will be a coffee shop type restaurant, and McDonalds is moving their ice cream and milkshake machines over to those store. This is because of the terrible contract they've had with Taylor, the euipment manufacturer. This will allow them to use other companies to handle the equipment. Apparently Taylor is a crap company and never shows up to fix the machines.

Just what I heard. No idea if it's true.

I was about to say, get ready for the “Why are you putting poison into your body?” Responses, but I see I wasn’t quick enough……

Big Mac Combo- Medium fry and drink $9.72.

Fries weren't as good as I remember. They wernt very hot either, so maybe that was it. But check out this bun:

I dont recall the Big Mac bun being so pretty. But I'm not a bread person, so if it's any better tasting than the old bun it was lost on me. It was fairly well constructed and tasted like a Big Mac. Special sauce was special, pickles and lettuce well represented. The only difference in taste I noticed was maybe the onion slivers. They seemed to be kinda griddled. I remember them being raw.

Anyway. It was ok. I'll probably get another one in a few years.

I eat McDonald’s breakfast on the reg, and lunch/supper maybe once a month. I will say, maybe it was because it was one of those I’m starving and want to grab something quick before I head to the deer stand, but the last couple quarter pounders I’ve had were really pretty damn good. It’s like they seasoned the meat or something when they threw it on the griddle. A novel concept, I know.

I do too. SEC McMuffin and a coffee are a staple. I just never eat it after breakfast.

My lazy cheap fast food go to has been the $3 bundle. I think it's the double cheeseburger and fries.

The McDonalds closest to my house has been taken over by mostly the Hispanics who live close by in the last year or two and it's a well-run machine of an operation.

Same here. SEC McMuffin on the McDonald’s app is $1.50. Can’t beat it.
