Better call in advance. They will be packed on a Thursday night.

That's when the "fresh catch" comes in.

Hard to believe, but they do have a fresh fish daily.

Even in a foodie town like Fayetteville, the RL is consisitantly the top grossing restaurant here, I have no idea who eats there, I'm guessing people from the surrounding small towns.

The Olive Garden in Manhattan is the most profitable Olive Garden in the franchise.

I think chains are just popular for tourists who don't like to try new things. Some people like the familiar stuff.

It doesn't make sense. I think it boils down to advertising and the fact that most people arent very adventureous eaters. They want something they are familiar with.

What would first draw them to an Olive Garden, though? It's not really like food anyone in middle America would have grown up eating.

I think it goes back to the "get in where you fit in adage", some bumpkin may not feel comfortable going to the latest hotspot so they go to where their people eat

Someone gave me a gift certificate to Red Lobster a few years ago. I had never been. I held onto the thing for a year before finally dropping into the Metairie location near Lakeside, as I was in the area near lunch time. I walked in and put my name on the list and looked over the menu while I waited...and waited. Place was packed. As I waited I grew disgusted by the menu, premises and other customers. I decided free crappy food was not worth it, left and gave the gift certificate to a secretary in my office. She was thrilled.

This sounds a bit over the top.

If I look at the words "Shrimp Scampi" I am not usually disgusted.

Red Lobster is not even bad. Sure, it's not as good as a good local seafood joint especially a Louisiana one.

But It's not "eww totes disgusting", get real.

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but if it's an available option I'd have no problem in going.

There is no review and no pics. This thread is a lie. A lie I say.

But seriously, they put crack in those cheddar biscuits. Been over a 15 years since I've eaten there as a we youngin', but I still remember those biscuits.
