Red Lobster is not even bad. Sure, it's not as good as a good local seafood joint especially a Louisiana one.

But It's not "eww totes disgusting", get real.

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but if it's an available option I'd have no problem in going.
I found it disgusting and I eat Captain D's fish and the Piccadilly fish square as well as filet o fish sandwich at McDonald's. I was shocked that their fried shrimp were worse than shrimp poppers and fish sticks that you buy frozen. I don't even know how that is possible.

I wrote my piece then went and read your update. I felt validated that someone else thinks Captain D's is better also.

I'd never eat RL but this overblown thread has me interested how many of you people are so full of shite about fried shrimp being inedible.

It can't be worse than some place like Joe's Crab Shack which is still thriving.

And PPPPIIIICCCCSSSS!

I am telling you I was shocked! I thought it was F&D board hype until I had to experience it myself. And I have had Joe's crab shack. My old pastor used to love it. It wasn't the best but it wasn't inedible. The shrimp at RL are. I am not sure how they can be that bad but they are.

ETA: What part of I eat frozen fish sticks and shrimp poppers at home did you miss?? If you search enough wfdt you will find one where I say fish sticks and mac and cheese.

Thanks for the review.

Makes me thankful to live in Louisiana and not in a landlocked state...feel bad for the millions of Americans who have to resort to Red Lobster for their seafood fixes. and I have yet to ever eat at RL and have no desire to.

Do it and report back. I thought maybe it was a fluke until Cosmo reported the exact same thing from a different one in a different city.

Silly Cos

I told you to get the lobster pizza.

Did I ever say "order the shrimps"?

Nope

I know, "What could he know about what to order at RL?"

Well, I know one should not order the shrimp.

Plenty of good seafood inland. Just most people inland don't know any better. I grew up in Tennessee. Catfish and frozen shrimp was the extent of my seafood before I moved down here. Now when I go back I notice that stores have a lot of good seafood, but most people don't know how to cook it.
