Shipley's was poo the first time I had them but has been money ever since. Calling them below average is just laughable.

Only went once

Served me glaze donuts that were room temp and awful

I won’t go to a donut place that gives me a room temp glaze donut. I don’t know why that is acceptable in the donut world either.

They are in line with crappy arse tastee

Lol no

Bakers dozen keeps their donuts racked just like Shipley’s & even tastee. For the most part depends when you catch them. During peak times your getting fresh donuts. But later in the day they aren’t churning out fresh donuts every 5min

At Tastee they just sit all day though

If anyone here is from North Alabama, I hope you recall Bruno’s doughnuts.

Those were the gooiest, cheweist most delicious doughnuts ever. They were hexagon shaped. My dad got them every Sunday morning for breakfast before church.

Can’t even find anything about them online.

I have never seen a glazed donut sitting at bakers

I have been when nobody is there and they go to the back to the fryer to get them

I find Port Allen Bakery donuts to be awful. They always taste like they've been in the grease too long. I'd say you're better off going to the Mary Lee's in Brusly or Joy Donuts on 415.

We stopped getting PA Bakery for work after getting a ham and cheese kolache that was a single piece of deli ham and a single slice of American cheese wrapped in stale bread.

Shipley is pretty good, but the GOAT donut is Mary Lee's in Baton Rouge.

I can’t believe anyone in Louisiana would be talking about Krispy Kreme vs. Shipley. Next you’ll be claiming Starbucks has the best coffee.

And for the record, when I was a kid Ruddock’s Bakery in Crowley set the bar for the best glazed donuts in the world.

This. Evwry neighborhood in my area of Houston has a little mom and pop doughnut shop and their kolaches blows Shipley’s hot dog bun arse out the water.

Never tried Shipley's, but Mr. Ronnie's are probably the best donuts I've had.

Meche's 4 life though.

Lafayette had a Shipley's in the 70's, maybe even into the early 80's. If I recall correctly it was on the corner of Agnes/University where the flower shop Flowers Etc. is located.

my roommate and i in college would walk 1 mile to Shipleys between classes and split a dozen donuts as we walked back. we justified the walking as our exercise.

I missed my college metabolism
