How old are the oldest craft beer drinkers on the FB?

The majority, if not all off the craft beer drinkers I've encountered if real life, were under 70. Most, WAY under 70. So, what happens when you get older (I'm 58 btw)? Do you lose tastes buds and turn to BMC and whiskey? Or, can I expect to carry a love for craft beer into my 80s (not expected to live beyond that)?

It's hard to imagine a day I wouldn't enjoy a beer. I've seen many older people give up drinking for various reasons. Will age affect my craft drinking habits?

It's not that the older you get, you lose taste for craft beer. Most of these quality craft beers came about after people in their 70s had access to them so they're sort of alien to them. Most grew up drinking Pabst, Blatz, Stroh's, Miller, Budweiser, etc.

What I've always wondered is what's going to happen to white zinfandel sates once these old people die. It seems like anyone who enjoys it either has one foot in the grave or likes their steak well done.

I've been drinking craft beer since you were in adult diapers.

Most old people are stuck in their ways, and craft beer wasn't a big thing when they were young.

I answered in a way that I thought answered his question. I am 33 and don't care for many craft beers and would rather whiskey.

I do like having fun with y'all though.

At least two of us do, though one is more pronounced than the other(s).

This is correct IMO.

I'm 58 and I've drinking craft beer for decades.

Wow Kim. I've always thought you were older and wiser than me. I guess I'll have to settle for wiser!

My dad is 63 and I got him hooked on craft beer. He was always a bud heavy drinker when I was growing up, but I have since taught him there is more out there. He's not on the level of meeting strange men in dark parking lots to exchange hops, but he can crush Pliney with the best of them. He's also immune to hangovers - a trait he didn't pass on.

I'll give it up when I'm living in the Martini Wing of the Betty Ford clinic hiding my own Easter eggs.

I'm 75 and still enjoy craft beers. I took a course this summer at UNC-Asheville tasting different beers. I look for local craft beers where ever I travel.
