Breweries tend to be more family-friendly as well, in my experience...

Agreed. I take my family to brewpubs, quite a bit, when we go out to dinner. Almost all of them have great food. If I'm on the way home from work, it's a taproom, though.

ETA: Modern Times' food is crap though. Vegan menu with most of the choices being fake meat. I don't mind vegan dishes, but I hate the meat and cheese substitutes.

The Northwest is a great beer region, but come on...this thing is heavily slanted toward them.

What are you talking about? You have to scroll all the way down to #62 before you even get to the first taproom on the list in the Northeast.

And I’m counting 21 total out of 106 on the list in all of the Northeast, most of which are in NY and Philly.

I e been to about 30 of those. U would add Bangers in Austin and Craft &Growler and Meddlesome Moth in Dallas. They are as good or better than a lot on that list.

. I’d rather visit a brewery, although from what you’ve said in Portland taprooms are the way to go.

You can conveniently do both and that's part of the reason the beer scene is so good.

There's 4 in Seattle and 6 in Portland. No others in the PNW, unless you include that one in Alaska. That means 10% of the country. Not disproportionate, if you asked me.

My problem is that Rogue East Side should not be on there. Loyal Legion is better. Imperial Taproom is better. ABV Public House is better. Arch Bridge Taproom is better. Roscoes is better, NWIPA is better. The Beermongers is better. I could go on, but you get the picture.

Chuck's Hop Shop in Seattle should be on the list, IMO.
