How many food and drink snobs would fail a taste test?

Out at the bar the other night with some friends and coworkers. A couple of the coworkers, not friends, fancy themselves as sophisticated eaters and drinkers. After that night, I started to wonder if I could trick them somehow.
I’m convinced they think any food from a food truck must be great, because it came from a food truck. If it says farm-to-table on a sign, it must be great.
The same goes for beer. If the label says “craft” on it, they automatically assume it’s better than anything else you’d find at a store.
I know some other folks that are this way about wine. Nevermind the fact that there are countless vineyards in the Texas Hill Country. If it’s from there, it must be amazing. I am 99% certain that I could buy store brand wine and slap a Hill Country vineyard label on it and they would go ape shite about its flavor.
Anybody on here know some insufferable foodies/drinkers that probably talk out of their arse?

I've read (here on TD?) that once you get past $20 or so wines only experts can truly taste the difference

There are a ton of craft beers that are absolute garbage. And a lot of craft beers are sold in stores.

I know a few people like this. Don't get me wrong. I can be picky as hell about certain things, but I still love a Giiness or Yuengling Black and Tan nearly as much as most of my favorite small town craft beers. I also prefer small town/local mom and pop eateries, but I still love CFA and a burger from Whataburger, as well.

im fairly certain I can tell the difference with beer. I could fall victim to the scarcity principle at times, though. Wine, I couldnt tell you shite about it other than I like it or dont like it.

Then there are people like me who think wine is simply Koolaid for adults. I don't find it appealing. Cheap or expensive. I'd rather a Guiness or a coffee stout....or just a good cup of coffee.

And even experts can be fooled.
People will rate bottles of wine they think are more expensive as better tasting.

This is how I am. I’m not a Light Beer drinker. I find what I like, and try and stay in that area unless I’m traveling and want to try local. I’ve had some damn good craft beers and some that taste like shite. I’d say the same thing for food prepared by the street.

I do love me a bottle of flirty red Boones Farm Strawberry Hill with my Church's Fried Chicken plate.

My wife is like this, but not snobby. She cooks nightly, so I trust her to know.
I just can’t stand people that will turn their noses up at a Yeungling, Blue Moon, random IPA or Porter, but then declare that some craft brew down the street is “better”.

My wife gets pissed when I say fancy stuff is "ok" or "alright".
