Have some friends that, like me, like single malts and nice whiskies. Poured some friends a scotch. All liked it and wondered what it was.

It was a blend of Clan McGregor scotch (bottom shelf), one jigger of sherry, and two jiggers of rye whiskey that had been aged for several months. They all said it was comparable to a $50-80 single malt.
