Bought some on the way home December 21st in Krotz springs. Forgot about them in the back of the fridge. They smell the same as they did back then. What say you still good?

FYI tried the chicken cracklins that day also. Amazing!

Personally, I wouldn't trust 2 week old cracklins, but that's just me. I'm sure some will respond to heat that shite up and tear into it, but I'm not one of them.

It's not worth getting sick over a few dollars worth of deep fried pork fat.

Never had cracklins last long enough to put in the fridge.
A gallon jug from Billeaud's only last a couple of days.

Crumble them up and make cracklin cornbread. I made a skillet of it the other night. Best way to use them up.

when I was a kid back in the stone age cracklins were a byproduct of rendering lard they were stored in big jugs for months used much like seasoning meat. Cracklins in smothered green beans are so good you young folks would cry.

I’ve folded them in and baked and they are really good. Also fold into mashed potatoes.
