Haven't seen much about it in a long time. Thanks

Very good. Underrated, typically busy.
Small dining room - best to go when the weather is nice so outside seating is a viable option.

Italian Barrel is good. It's very cozy and intimate at night and the food and wine selection are good. The diners are generally sophisticated and adult which is a plus, since dining is close quarters.

One of, if not the best Italian restaurant in the city imo. But it's not a place you hear about a lot.

If you are thinking of going do it. Hard to beat their menu. Their owner is from Northern Italy so not as much seafood.
One of my fav places.
Also, not too far away is Adolfo's which is another cool place. Mix of Creole and Italian.

I went for the first time a couple months ago. Loved the atmosphere. The food was solid--not something that blows you away but you probably won't leave disappointed

It's not for this weekend.
Thanks for the responses. What's parking like near there?

Pay to park. Street parking.
Unless you go about 5-6 blocks into Marigny and find free parking.
FQ sucks to park in

Had lunch there yesterday and it was outstanding. We really enjoyed it. No street parking available, but we were dropped off and the men parked in a lot about a block away, I believe. Next time, we'd use Uber, but were leaving town after lunch, so we didn't do that. Will report in more detail later, but I definitely recommend it.

Need to hit up Italian Barrel. Haven't been there either.

Is Adolfo's still cash only? If so I will probably continue to avoid it

Yes, it is still cash only, but they have an ATM in the restaurant.
The restaurant was just OK to me. Not worth the wait.

We put our name down and walked next door to dba. Walked back just at the right time when they were calling our name.
