Steel cut, soak overnight. I stopped putting brown sugar in and instead use raisins and strawberries for sweetness. Lots of cinnamon too. I like it better than when I used to use sugar.

I had a yankee friend in middle school whose mother's mission was to make me like oatmeal. All sorts of different combinations she'd make. She never succeeded.

Oats
Milk, a little more than necessary

Slow cooked in microwave or stove. Should still have some liquid to it when done

Scoop of chocolate protein powder

2 tablespoons of peanut butter mixed with two tablespoons of maple syrup. You want it to be a drizzle

Banana slices or strawberries

Grew up eating breakfast.

Oatmeal with butter, honey, and cinnamon.
Cream of wheat with butter.
Grits with butter and cheese.
