Mrs. Spirit of Dunson and I are celebrating another year of marital bliss. We are new to H-town and want to try a decent restaurant - preferably indian, mediterranean, or thai. any suggestions oh wise gourmands of the OT?

I think you should be insulted that he didn't go directly to you.

it's in my hood
that place is great
not fitting the indian/thai/med criteria, but it's a great place
I've never been to Mark's, but Fin has and he vouches for it.
Phd and I are big fans of Max and Julie's. French, not your criteria, but a great place. Avoid this place for lunch though.

Magic Island is a terrorist haven. That place has active prostitution going on and bankrolled by the owners. I would steer clear of that place. I went once 7 years ago when I first moved to town and I got the hebee jebees in that place.

Istanbul Grill
This place kicks arse, it's just down the street from The Gingerman.
I'd also suggest this place- LINK. Peruvian food, best ceviche I've had in the states.
