my problem with a french place is that we both drink way too much wine to drive afterwards.

That's what livery cars are for. It's your anniversary, after all.

We ate at this place called Antonio's I think. Its really good. It has a tree growing through the restaurant. Very dim lit. with a piano player.....

Sorry, it was Michelangelo's not antonios....
Also, if you are looking at seafood there is a place called Pesce. I have been a couple of times its great. and whatever the restaurant is at the top of the Hilton, next to Minute Maid park is awesome too. Great view of houston thats like 20-30 floors up on the roof. I can't remember exactly.

Bad is that place at Discovery green. The Grove. Horrible food with horrible prices.

agree with the Grove thing. ate there also...
Skyline was great. I ate there a couple of times. But its been awhile since I've been to houston, about 9 mths I think. So maybe it took a dive for the worst. Pesce is really good though....

It's right next to Border's on Kirby/W. Alabama.

And yes, it is a member of the Landry's family of restaurants.

I've been 3 times b/c of different people and I have still yet to find anything good. And by horrible prices I mean not worth the money. I don't mind paying $15 for lunch item but it also comes with expectations and they do not deliver at all. All you're doing paying for location and people trapped at the George R Brown with no where else to go. 2 lunches and one dinner.

I've tried the Pork sandwich, shrimp burger, and crab tacos. Bland, dry, tasteless comes to mind. Hell, we tried their deviled eggs on recommendation from the waiter and they were awful.

I'm not a food snob at all and I can tell you that place is bad.
