I had the one at the Merchant and it was excellent. I would imagine they're very similar.

I know, I know. I was going to post both of them, but haven’t loaded pics before.
Just had the second one for lunch. It was good, about what you would think with a buffalo style sauce, not that spicy but pretty well executed.

I don’t like how thick the batter is and it always completely separates from the chicken. I like the idea of it, but they don’t execute it well in my opinion

I found it a little on the salty side. Good sammich but not worth driving across town for IMO.

Curbside chicken sandwich is good. I have had it about 3 times, my only complaint is that it is too salty.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they ripped Kenji’s chick fil a chicken recipe from Serious Eats. I’ve made it at home multiple times and the batter is very similar to curbside, along with the saltiness since the recipe calls for MSG in the breading. Since the first time I used the recipe I’ve cut the MSG or completely left it out.
