What do you do with the kegs you switch out? How do you keep them cool?

I've only had all 4 with beer in them at the same time once. 3 fit in the fridge and the 4th just stayed in my beer room at 68 degrees or so. It was the witbier I just finished and actually got better with about a month of age.

None that care about beer.

I'd go with two and make those two all stainless steel everything and perlick taps. Don't go cheap and buy chrome. Trust me on that one. Been there. Done that. Currently replacing everything with stainless shanks and stainless faucets. I have four taps, but rarely have more than 2 on tap at a time. There was a time when I was making enough to keep four on tap, but, you know, life happens.

Two taps is probably all I will do and use them for a pale ale/IPA and something my wife might drink, like a saison. Could still bottle my stouts and porters that can handle a little aging

Kegged this one tonight. Hoppy, but well balanced.

That's pretty cool.. You ever use Grog tags for your labels?

Kegged a Pliny The Toddler IPA yesterday... I was both overly efficient and it fermented stronger than expected, so it's about 6% instead of 5%... oh darn.

Smelled damn good, it's hooked up and carbing now, will hopefully be ready to pour tonight.

Did you base this one on McDole's Pliny the Tiny?

I've brew that recipe a few times and it's one of my favorites. Always get a great hop aroma and flavor out of that one.

No... but maybe the recipe I found was based on it?

My plan is to brew an American Amber on Saturday. Need to keg a couple of beers, bottle a few bottles for competition (assuming that the beers going into kegs taste good enough). Not much going on this weekend, more so that last weekend though.

Hit the homebrew store today only to find out that there is a waiting list for the 15 gallon fermenters...

So I had to adjust my grain amounts on the fly to scale back down to a 5 gallon batch from 12. I put down .5 Caramunich and got home and noticed 1.5 Caramunich written on my bag. I guess it will be a darker than planned 100% mosaic farmhouse ale on the schedule today

I'd make sure you mash low and slow so you don't end up with too high of a FG.

That's a new one to me. Looks tasty. Keep us posted. Are you going with your Crooked Stave yeast?

No, going to toss my JK saison/brett blend. I only have one bottle of 100% brett Crooked Stave left. I'm going to save it until I have a bit more lab equipment rounded up and can isolate and slant that strain.
