I was taking the kid for a walk around Pontiff Park last weekend where there was a kids birthday party in one of the picnic areas. They had pizza and as I walked by I noticed that the boxes said “Home of the Violation” on the side. I’ve never heard of this before and when I google it it only comes up with pizza places that have had restaurant code violations.

Anyone know what the home of the violation is? This is bothering me way more than it should.

DeanO's has a Cajun Violation pizza. Maybe that was it.

Looks like it may have been a special of the month or something though.

There is also Outlaw Pizza in the Warehouse district.

Deano's Cajun Violation is their boudin pizza. After a Baton Rouge restaurant, Pastime, sent them a cease and desist letter because they'd trademarked "Boudin Pizza," Deano's had a contest to rename their boudin pizza. Cajun Violation was the winner.

Frick Pastime, that is the dumbest/litigious shite I have ever heard. That's like claiming trademark on Pepperoni Pizza

Wow, just wow. As if they were the only ones to ever think of putting boudin on a piece of bread. I hope they spent good money getting that trademarked.

I would have loved to see that. That place is a cesspool.

I'm not from BR or Louisiana, so I'm not familiar with the restaurant, but I do remember a thread on here years ago about this restaurant and an issue regarding some gravy. Is this the one you are talking about? LOL

My problem wasn't the mediocre pizza. It was the people. I was not familiar with their ordering style, and it was like I was asking the girl to have root canal to place an order.

Just found the TD thread, as well, and am enjoying revisiting it. The FAQs are still up on the Pastime website. What a hoot! No gravy for you!

I was hoping this thread would stir the pot again...wishful thinking I guess.
