You and me both. Weather I can deal with, so long as we dont get 9" of rain the three days before the event (as we did last year) we should be ok. New field is also 15 feet higher than old location and has revolutionary things like drainage. We are stoked to go into the Festival Grounds. Thanks for your support.

I think half of that plywood is still buried under the Frisbee golf fields. Luckily, we are building around a 15 foot concrete path so the interior of the field wont get tore up from the floor up during load in.

Good job. And if you want dinner tix on discount email me.

Love this event. Probably won't be able to go this year, though.

I purchased my tickets earlier this week. Hopefully the weather holds up.

Well I hate that Friday night was advertised as a public event. It's really just $5 for those who know teams. Very little food was being sold.

Meh, it's $5. Is it worth complaining about?

Did the gala last night. It left a lot to be desired & they have quite a few kinks to work out.

I passed by that tent yesterday and I couldn't tell how many people were doing it.

What was the menu?

I have lots of details but I thought it might distract from the philanthropy.

I was out lat night --- and maybe they shouldn't have charged $5 ---- but it is a charity so who cares?
I didn't know any of the teams and still had a blast. Got to taste a lot of samples from the teams and got at least 5-6 free drinks out of it from different teams trying out their "hogtails" for tomorrow. From the items I was told they were going to be cooking tomorrow, it sounds amazing. Go hungry.

Last night was fun. Just walked around. I know a few teams so it was fun to bs. It's just cool walking around there with everyone starting to cook. We stopped and ate some crabs at one random group's setup. It was awesome.
Blackened, good move opening Friday up.

or anyone who would know.

Great event, really enjoyed the new layout. No crowding issues, not sure how you kept the rain away but it worked. Of course, the food was great as usual. I felt the menu items were slightly more conservative than last year. IMHO.

I'm curious about the overall turnout? Was it as big as previous years? It was hard to tell considering the open spaces.

Yeah way too many pulled pork sandwiches and tacos.

I still wish yall could do a list of what everyone was going to be serving so that we could seek out those booths specifically instead of having to walk around to each booth and read each sign. It would also make people be more creative w/ their entries.

I was telling my friends this as we were walking around. If the booths were smart, they would have big blow ups of their food hanging up to entice people instead of the descriptions. Everyone knows a "A picture is worth a 1000 words."
