Not happy I'm going to be out of town that weekend. Definitely one of my favorite New Orleans events

Friday night has always been a sort of underground tailgate party experience, with each team throwing its own party. So we are expanding on that. Its $5 to get in the gates, there will be live music, and you can walk around, drink beer, and hang out with the pitmasters. There will also be a Hogtail competition with 5 drinks prepared by some of New Orleans' best bartenders at various team plots.

There is also a Southern Asado Dinner, which is a seated dinner cooked by 12 of the South's best chefs. Basically they are cooking whole animals over open fire. Wine, cocktails, beer, ice luges as well. I am pretty fired up for this. LINK

I have a few discounted tickets left for this dinner, if you want them email me at username at gmail.

Seems awesome. I see that it's 15 a ticket at the moment to get into the event... Do you know if it will be like all the other food events in NOLA where they sell like 4-7 dollar dishes?

I was planning on going to the Roadfood Festival at the French Market that goes on the same day. Wondering if this may be better/ more bang for your buck.

Hog's is a better charity event, in a better setting, will have better food, and will have better music.
Factor in the free parking too.

Absolutely. One of the best charities you can donate toward imo.

Have you ever been to RoadHome Festival? The answer is very clear: Hogs.

Trust me.

What's "the cause"? Nothing listed on the flyer or the front page of the website.

"Hogs For the Cause is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual music and food festival to raise money for pediatric brain cancer care."

Under Event Info on the website.
