Saw this in the BR Business Report, but didn't see any details.
Only ate their pizza once, it wasn't bad, but nothing I felt like going back for.

I think there is one on Siegen too. I don't know if it is open.
There is also a Blaze Pizza being built now on Siegen. Not open yet.

Only lasted 6 months. Must have been hemorrhaging money.

Jabby's pizza is not that good either and will probably be next
Blaze is what gave Lit Pizza their idea and Izzo's owner built as many Lit Pizza's as he could before they entered market. You never know what you are gonna get at the Lit locations quality wise

Every Lit pizza I’ve had has been good quality. Never had a bad one.

It is the location. You would think it would be okay but it seems to be hidden in the parking lot.
And is the name Hive or Chive? To me it's confusing.

It was good but never better than the other nearby pizza options
I think it was way better than Lit, and similar to Pizza Artista
How many build your own pizza places can survive in that small area while competing with RedZep and the national chains?

Rottolos should focus on their original restaurants, it seems like they are overextended and their original spots are slipping

Is Hive a Rotolo's offering?

Lit pizza is garbage. Worst pizza i've ever had. It was like they didnt even try. Was half cooked and not one piece was sliced. Tasted like it was thrown in a microwave for 30 seconds then dumped into a box. I hope they all close down

I have never had that issue with Lit. I mean, they literally slice it right in front of you when they pull it out the oven.
I do think some of the workers don't cook the pizza as long as they probably should, so I usually just ask them to cook it longer.
I tried the Hive on Siegen a few times - it was slower than some of the others and would put it at the bottom of the other local chains of this variety (Lit, Artista, Jabby's). That Blaze Pizza on Siegen will probably kill Hive off there.
Anyone ever had Crust Pizza Co? I see they're putting one of those in the old Zoe's on Millerville. Website looks good but anything special or just more of the same?

that location at Millerville will be tough.

I went there several times. It's pretty much on par with Lit and Pizza Artista, but a few fewer toppings available. I liked it, especially since it was the closest of the 3 to my home. And they had friendly people working there.
Kind of upset it's gone. I'm sure it's the location. Just a weird spot in that Acadian parking lot.

I have been to the one near campus by walk ons many times and have never had a negative experience, the pizza isnt the best but its not bad at all for what it is, imo

Lit is pretty bad I don't understand all the positive reviews here. It's also not much cheaper than some other places.
Pizza Artista and Hive were way better for exact same type of restaurant same prices

I have no idea how this can be true. They make the pizza in front of you, put it in the oven in front of you, and cut it in front of you. You must have had a bad day. I’ve never experienced anything you mentioned.

Must have ordered it to go. I go on occasion and ask them t cook it "well-done." When they pull it from the oven they always ask if its cooked enough and will gladly put it back into the fire until its the way I want it.
