You people aren't paying much attention to crime stats if you think WB Expressway @ Stumpf is more crime ridden than freakin' Tulane Avenue. Ever driven the stretch of TU Ave from Carrollton to Claiborne after dark? It's not exactly Mayberry.
Here's hoping the hospital construction project will 1)finally be finished and 2)actually give the city some incentive to get rid of the hourly motels, prostitutes, and rampant nastiness on that stretch of Tulane.

That shopping center is a little sketchy looking. 
Used to be a bowling alley in the big building at one time and wasn't so deserted looking back then.
