Village grocery on Perkins is on par with The Blue Store with their food and I like their shrimp fried rice better than the Blue.

Kids chicken and cheese sandwich at city pork. Sliced smoked chicken with melted cheese (cheddar?) on thick Texas toast for $5.
It belongs on the regular menu, and I’ve told the manager. So good. I always encourage both of my girls to get it so I can clean up.

The fried shrimp Caesar salad at Willie's for $14 is enough for 2. We'll split an app like the Cajun egg roll, the salad and were full.

I've passed this place multiple times recently and wondered how it is still open. I guess I'll have to try it.

From the outside, it looks like the typical half-assed amateur shop that pops up in old fast food locations.

The inside and food in the kitchen match the outside. Dumbfounded by the praise it gets on here.

As for some hidden gems, I’m a fan of the chicken parm from bistro Italia and the Chinese dishes from Omi.
