did they comp you the steak or do anything because of the shitty service?
Someone didn't read the thread..

They didn't do anything.
I would have thought maybe a complimentary dessert or something just as a gesture would have gone a long way in my book.

Completely agree. And like I said, I would have approached my manager and explained the situation and hoped for a comp.
But when we really boil it down, they fixed what was wrong with the product you purchased.. And you consumed it.. So they felt you should still pay for it. It's not the way I'd handle it personally but I can't fault them for that in particular.
It was the kitchens fault, clearly. Especially if the server agreed with you. Hopefully the server just didn't think about a comp.. Because if a manager knew of the situation and did nothing to make up for it (or even the server asked and the manager said no), that would be MAJORLY shitty.

he never said that they didnt do anything.
i mean he left out pretty much every needed detail in the OP and the other posts didnt say anything besides how it was cooked and how many people they had.
maybe he should write a letter!

You stoopid.
The title and first sentence implies they did nothing and he's aggravated about it.
And you mentioned shitty service but it sounds like it was shitty kitchen and then a manager who was either uninformed or who couldn't step up and reconcile the situation.

If you got your steak and at it! Why do you need anything free?
Don't like what happened? Leave.
And ordering medium is such a waste.

So who had 2 1/2 pages before someone called the poster on the way he wanted steak cooked rather than acting like the restaurant fricked up? I had the under personally, thought it would be like 3 posts.

i didnt want to point out this amateur move by the OP.
the kitchen probably did it on purpose

You are correct. They fixed the problem eventually and I did eat it.
Which is why I wouldn't ask for it to be free.
But I have had better service at Outback when I have had problems with an order in similar fashion.
Sullivan's charges premium prices and I expect premium service for that price. That's not what I received tonight IMO.

Sullivan's
I have a real problem with people that consider this place a premium steak house. I think their steaks are alright, but the last time we ate there my wife had a fish dish that reeked of bleach. Obviously they were trying to hide spoiled product.
I won't even mention the time they tried to serve me an obviously corked wine, or maybe I will...........

Complain. You paid $50+ for that steak you have every right to complain to a manager. If the manager won't do anything threaten to call corporate. They'll make it right for you.

I guess you learned a lesson tonight. Sullivans is a poor excuse for a steakhouse dressed up in fishnet stockings. Dont go back

I hate sullivans with a passion. I have eaten there twice and wont be returning. Went in one night and had the same mistakes mentioned here and poor service. My wife and I were treated very poorly. So i called the next day and asked to speak with the manager. Leo Verde (taking a guess on the spelling) the manager at the time offered to have us back the next week and that this meal would be on him. So i agreed to that and he told us what time and day to come in. So when we arrived we had a good table and a better waiter, things were going well. We shortly received a bottle of wine that we didnt order but the waiter said Leo had selected this for us. Serveice was better and didnt have problems with our food this time but then the check came $150+ this included the wine at half price. I looked at the bill and told the waiter that we were on Leo's ticket tonight. So Leo came over and said well I sent you guys a bottle of wine so I dont see a problem (yea that I was half paying for)? I looked at him and replied that I will not be returning as long as you run this place. They took the wine off but still paid 100 plus for a comped meal. Screw sullivans and screw that douche Leo.

Medium seems like a tough temp to get right. To me that's so far past over cooked I couldn't tell it from well done.
I order everything rare and eat it no matter what it comes out like. It's pretty safe temp to order, it's never rare enough when it hits the table but its also never well done.

And Sullivan's is absolutely horrible.
Yes. Yes it is.
I had 2 sup-par meals there. I won't be back for a third.
