Why is everyone downvoting the OP?
The places he visited in Salt Lake City are all good places for good food, but I've never sought out a Diners Drive-Ins and Dives place in other cities. That's actually not a bad idea.

Falafel King in San Jose was terrific, inexpensive and quite the dive. People were very friendly

Little place in the Sandbridge/Virginia Beach area called Flip-Flops was pretty darn good. Can't say the same about T-Bone Tom's in Kemah, TX. If your name is T-bone Tom's and chicken fried steak fingers is the best thing on your menu, well . . .

Benny's Seafood in Miami (for Mofongo) - sucked

Tried to do Louie’s once with a friend on a Saturday night. We had been drinking and stumbled in and the place was SLAMMED. We decided to skip it and walked down to Ships Lounge to keep drinking.

In San Antonio he did a show on Dough Pizzeria ....probably the best in Texas...and our kids have had alot of pizza all over Texas and that's what they want when we got to our ranch in Hondo, Tx to drive to Dough.

We’ve been to ~ 15 or 16. We look for them on road trips ‘cause it’s a potentially better option than the national chain fast food places.
~ 25% were really good
~ 50% were ok and I would try again to get a 2nd opinion
~ 25% were not good & would not go back - the absolute worst was a “Cajun” place in Fairhope, b4m4 that has closed

Nickel Diner - a bunch of times...a must for breakfast in downtown L.A. Totally worth it.
Biergarten - German/Korean fusion in K-Town (L.A.)
Interesting concept, wasn't totally blown away. Had the schnitzel katsu burger. Been meaning to give it a second chance.
Magnolia Cafe Austin - multiple times. Always felt slightly overrated.

Sammys deli in NOLA is a great lunch spot.
Katie's in mid city is great too.
I've used DDD when traveling as well.

My wife and I seek them out whenever we travel. Some are nothing short of amazing. Some are just okay

Do you have any recommendations?
FYI, there is a TV Food Map app that you can use to find places featured on TV. And you can create your own list of places you have been or want to go to.

The "Hummingbird Grill" in downtown N.O. that is now closed down. For years it was a 24 hour joint and the clientele would vary from white collar, blue collar and dirty collar wino's and homeless people.
Can't tell you how many half chicken dinners I've eaten out of that place.
Unfortunately, it went by the wayside as development determined it was more valuable acting as another entity and they shut down the diner.

Yes.
Uncle Lou's in Memphis (best damned fried chicken I've had).
The Shed
Joey K's - NO
Creole Creamery - NO
Also have been to Little Goat Diner in Chicago (not DDD, but is owned/run by one of the new Iron Chefs) which was also very good.

Kicks arse. Love sitting on their patio during the summer months.
If you love 90 Miles, as everyone should, you should check out Cuba 312. It's a hidden gem in Roscoe Village...I think it might actually be better than 90 Miles. They're no longer BYOB, but the Roscoe Village Tap is right across the street. Great beer list.
