Has anyone been to Cote Sud in Nola recently?

It is a small French bistro located on Maple Street Uptown.
I’m going in the near future and curious to hear some thoughts and recommendations. I’ve read the pizza is killer but it seems such a disservice to order an Italian dish with so many other French offerings.
I know it’s cash only which is frustrating but I will manage.

the pizza is outstanding...it used to be an italian place called ciro's and they kept the oven & the pizza when they changed it. i lived on ciro's back when i was in college
anyway, the food is really good all over the menu.
its 100% reliable

It is great. Split a pizza as an app then get a couple of the entrees. Mussels and duck are standouts.

It’ll be just my wife and I so I’m curious if they do a smaller pizza or just the bigger 8 slice.
ETA: saw they do a 12 inch. Perfect.

Mussels are a must order. The steak and frites are perfect.

Yeah I’m thinking of either the Mussels Gratinees (baked with cheeses and garlic) or the Mussels with blue cheese or cooked Provence style. The latter comes frites and looks like a bigger dish.

You can't go wrong with this order there.

Good food.
Wine selection has a lot to be desired.

I went a little over a year ago for dinner. It was a pretty darn good meal.

I have some friends in New Orleans who frequent it. They love everything there. I've been wanting to go there, as well. Please report back. It seems to be an excellent restaurant that we don't hear much about.

Just have them cut it in fours if you are not that hungry.

Does anyone know who the chef is here?

Coming back to thank everyone for their suggestions and to recap our visit this past Saturday evening.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Since it was our anniversary, I had called ahead to ensure we could get an ideal table right by the front window in a secluded outlet. This helped keep the noise down and it was nice to have the restaurant and street both easily viewable. I highly recommend this table if it is only two people. The restaurant had a ‘reserved’ placard on the table which was a nice personal touch.
As for the food, we started with an order of the Escargots de Bourgogne, Mouleés Gratinees, and side of frites. We then split the Neapolitan pizza.
The escargot was the highlight by far. They were cooked perfectly and had us dipping our bread into the cast iron ramekin after picking out the snails. The muscles were also quite good, baked nicely in their shells.
Finally the pizza, while delicious was slightly underwhelming. I think the tomatoes watered down the top a bit too much (I find this with a lot of pizzas using fresh tomatoes). No worries, though. The price was very affordable and we brought four slices home.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be back when looking for a cheaper date night in a warm, inviting, and international-feeling environment.
