Place will do well I reckon on Lee with college kids but Def. seems like mall food.

The assembly line was terrible. Everyone looked lost. No structure in the process, so much improvement is needed there since that is the basis of the place. It's like subway for Greek food. Way too many incompetent workers trying to do things on the line unfortunately.

I got a gyro wrap that tasted ok but the meat looked like ground beef. The gyro wrap fell completely apart. I had to use my utensils to eat the wrap. The pita is different but not in a bad way.

If ur looking for mall Greek food, then u should be satisfied. I'll stick to other Greek places in BR. I personally like serops on Perkins by Pennington.

So much great Greek/Lebanese food in BR and it cannot be pretty fast if you want it to be.. just go to Albasha, Roman's, or Serop's.

That's weird. Is it middle eastern or Greek?

I have never seen the word "Halal" associated with Greek food or people.

ha·lal
denoting or relating to meat prepared as prescribed by Muslim law.

Halal - Wikipedia
also spelled hallal or halaal, refers to what is permissible or lawful in traditional Islamic law

I have no idea why you would go there when Albasha's, Serops and Arzi's exist. Shoot, Atcha isn't that far away on Nicholson and it's dirt cheap and solid.
They're opening an Albasha's with a drive through on Lee, next to the new Domino's and Caliente. I bet it puts those dudes out of business locally.

That's your first problem.

Your second problem is that you were sober and it wasn't 2 am

Gotta go with the combo rice plate at halal guys

Went today and got the small combo plate.

While it wasn't the best gyro/chicken i've ever had, it was still tasty. As far as quick, easy, and filling go it was just about perfect.

Also, go heavy on the white sauce and (very) light on the red sauce.

People like halah guys for the white and red sauce. It's legit. They aren't meant to be a substitute for albasha, etc

As for the meat, probably won't beat the original cart in NYC midtown west. But I'm definitely going to try them out.

It is Middle Eastern like most of the places in Baton Rouge that people on this board refer to as Greek.

Not sure why anyone would visit this place when there are about 15 Albashas in the city and will get you a better product in about 10 minutes.

Too much red sauce will mess you up.

If you must have it immediately, go to Serops Express. Good quality food ready to go.

I agree. Serop’s Express on Jefferson Hwy. is fast, fresh and cheap. Near closing time they load you up. Two meals for $8.

I find my food tastes best when killed in the most inhumane way possible.
