The Capitol city

Capital city. A Capitol is a building.

If you moved and shook more you’d know that.

I was called to the Capital building in the capitol city of my state on official moving business. The shaking was tabled until the next day.

The menu is cheesy.
But I thought it would be twice as expensive given all the comments.
Those prices are very normal.

Please tell me this isn’t a recent pic of the menu.

This one has the same misspellings that were roundly criticized during the soft openings….

Osacar (an extra a is worth $24 more)
Hierloom beets (which are not to be confused with the heirloom tomatoes above)
Brussel sprouts (in most places they are Brussels Sprouts…I guess that extra S moved and shaked it’s way off the menu)

The weirdest part to me is a place in Baton Rouge offers the following as seafood options:

Scallops
Sea Bass
Salmon
Lobster (with that famous Truff sauce)

Not that those are bad, I just don’t associate them with Louisiana cuisine.

Curious if this is also from a jar

Is the Supper Club supposed to be a place with Louisiana cuisine?

It’s not. That’s an old one off Yelp

So you didn’t take a picture of the menu for your IG? I’m starting to think you don’t actually go

A lot of people including myself will go just to try the experience for once but I question whether it will be able to sustain that. I don't wish failure on any business as I know how difficult it is to start one, especially a restaurant so I hope they are successful. I know people who have gone and said it's wonderful and I now people who have gone and said it's not all that.To each his own.

Supper Club appears to be the second biggest thing to happen to Baton Rouge behind the Garth Brooks concert.

The fact this has to be said is hilarious. So much envy on this board. Agree with the cheesiness of the place, but the outright envy and disdain is just a bad look.

Who gives a shite where people chose to eat and spend their money.

I'm sure those people would laugh at how some of you guys spend yours.

Who gives a shite.

This is a thread about a new restaurant in BR on the “Food and Drink Board” on an online message board, what would you have us discuss ?

Neither of those is happening in this thread.

We are laughing at a restaurant billing itself as a world-class dining experience that uses menu section descriptors such as “arm candy” and “side piece” (when spelled correctly). It’s hilarious.

The fact that they have had typos on their menu for months is just hilarious

I mean my OP kind of begged for controversy and I got some, so I’m happy
