Passed the sign in front of the building on Vets last week.
Does anyone know when it’s supposed to open?
Searched online and nothing comes up but the NOLA location.

Aside from gas stations, we really don’t have any decent fried chicken options in the New Orleans area.

Yeah, agreed. There is one a block from my office... it's also on the pricey side, but the chicken is great.
It's pretty similar overall to Chicken Shack in BR.

I know what you mean. Other than Brother's and Time Saver. The greater New Orleans area is shite for fried chicken and niche places don't count.

Gus's Chicken is better than Popeye's. Without question. And you're not going to get served a cold, shriveled piece of mild, when you ordered spicy.

Yeah. I would say that Gus's seasoned fries are better than the fries at Chicken Shack, but past that it's all pretty generic. I don't go for the greens or anything, so I might be underselling.

New Orleans has gas station chicken on every damn corner and almost all of it is better than fast food chicken. What’s the difference where you buy it?
does a drive thru or fancy sign make the chicken better? NOLA might be the fried chicken capital of the world

Gus’s is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong, I love some Popeyes, but Gus’s is on a whole other level.
