Gross things you have experienced in a restaurant

Anyone got any good stories.
I used to work at a very popular restaurant in Baton Rouge. Part of the server's responsibility was to wrap the potatoes in foil at the start of the shift. Several times I found roaches in the potato box.
I ate at a restaurant in New Orleans once while they were closing down for the night. They had already turned off the lights for half of the restaurant. As I ate my meal, I remember looking over at the booths in the dark and saw rats running around the ground.
But the worst was when I saw a woman eating who was so large, she had to sit on two chairs at once.

Went for a late breakfast one morning. It was around 10 AM. The place started serving lunch at 10:30. As I sit down I see an extremely obese couple finishing their breakfast. Their 4 top table was covered in dirty dishes. Waitress comes by and busses their table and I overhear them say they're not ready for the check. Halfway through my breakfast they ask for the lunch menus and order lunch. When I left their table was covered with food again.

The baws working in the kitchen of a popular bar and grill place would lose their temper if someone dared to order right before the kitchen closed. Wipe the floor with their bun and sometimes worse.

Eating "crab" salad at Ralph and Kacoo's on Bluebonnet about 25 years ago. I crunch down, think I've bitten into crab shell, only to discover a long, pink-frosted Lee Press-on Nail. (Remember those? stick on fake nails)

The one and only time I ate at LaFonda’s on Airline there were roaches crawling on the wall behind the table, right next to my friend’s head. Anytime people bring up La Fonda in a nostalgic thread I can’t help but think of that.

Looked over once and saw a lady giving her husband/date a hand job under the table. Like had his dick out and stroking it like a champ, not some over the pants high school one. That was more funny than gross, but still gross.

This is more of a personal thing that grosses me out: I was eating at a pizza buffet place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast years ago and instead of taking stuff to the dishwasher, one of the busboys was just piling up all of the dirty plates, dirty silverware and half-finished drinks at a table nearby.

Had a roach crawl across my table top at Uno's pizza one time. I trapped it under my plate and told the waitress that I wasn't going to eat it and that the roach was under my plate. She dismissed me and I got up and left pretty quick. Not sure what happened to the roach.
There was a Chinese restaurant at the Dallas Galleria mall 20 years ago or so. The employees were all illegal and didn't have anywhere to sleep so they just slept in the restaurant. I'd have to service some of their equipment every year and occasionally they'd have meat left out overnight. I can only hope they threw it out but I never really knew.

TJ Ribs on Acadian is the most disgusting kitchen you will ever see. Bring waders, cuz that floor is wet and deep

Business lunch, fluffy female across from me was from out of town. So she wanted to eat “local”. We ordered fried shrimp as an appetizer. Buddy next to me ate one of the last shrimp, and discarded the tail, as appropriate. Well, I think you can infer what happened next.....yes....the fluffy lady ,while talking, preceded to pick up just the discarded tail and chew and swallow. Couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed. In her defense “ I guess” , the tail was also battered.

I doubt they did Chinese restaurants are notorious for this. It must be a cultural thing. Once heard a story about a cop getting called to Chinese restaurant in the middle of the night because of the alarm going off. Turns out there were so many rats it had set off the motion detectors. They apparently left the buffet fully stocked each night.

Once a group of friends and I witnessed a woman who appeared to be homeless and have mental problems eating at the salad bar at Jason's Deli. We saw her put a lot of food in her pockets and go into the bathroom, and when she came out she started putting some of the food back on the salad bar as well as restocking her pockets. Not sure what she did in the bathroom and don't think she had any malicious intent, but she was crazy as shite and I don't think I've eaten from a salad bar in 15 years because of that

Chartres House has them running across the shelf that runs along the walls behind the bar. Last time I was in there and a customer was pointing them out, they laughed and said "Welcome to New Orleans"
